Autonomous delivery network Arrive AI, is planning to add around 40 new jobs before the end of this year, according to a statement released by the company. The Indiana based business, which has been listed on the Nasdaq since May this year, said in a statement that the hiring was a “direct response to the company's aggressive global expansion.”

Arrive AI created a smart mailbox system; a climate-controlled and secure box designed for both human and drone-based mail pickups and drop-offs. The technology combines tracking data, smart logistics controls, and other info tailored specifically for shippers, delivery services, and autonomous delivery networks. The company says they’re planning to roll out these ‘Arrive Points’ globally as part of expansion plans.

The new jobs will cover a variety of roles including artificial intelligence scientists, software and product engineers and sales and marketing folks with most of them based out of Arrive AI’s headquarters in Fishers, Indiana.

CEO Dan O’Toole highlighted the company’s Midwest roots, saying, “we're an Indiana-born company and are very pleased to be able to bring the well-paying, highly rewarding jobs to the local economy.”

The business also recently announced a strategic partnership with Skye Air Mobility, teaming up to develop the smart mailboxes and roll them out across India, boosting their footprint in a fast-growing market for autonomous delivery solutions.

In addition to this overseas expansion, they’re also testing new service ideas here in the U.S. with pilot projects including delivering to hospitals and specialty pharmacies. These efforts demonstrate the potential for autonomous logistics networks beyond the typical mail and package delivery models.

The company has previously addressed concerns about automation replacing human jobs by stating that new jobs would be created as part of autonomous services, including vehicle technicians, AI and robotics specialists and logistics coordinators.

These jobs indicate that Fishers, Indiana is turning into a hotspot for innovation and economic growth. Pure Pharmacy expanded their operations there in 2023 and the Cadillac F1 team also announced they chose Fishers as their HQ and new job opportunities in the pipeline.
