After weeks in which our tracking came back with minimal investments, the second half of September really has been kinder to the region. This week we tracked six deals across Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, matching last week's count.
Disclosed dollars tell a similar story. The four deals with a published figure come to $89.6 million, comfortably ahead of the week ending September 11th at $53.8 million, the week before that at $22.25 million, and the last full week of August at $40.8 million. It falls short of the last week when two nine-figure rounds did most of the lifting, but two consecutive weeks at this kind of volume make for a far healthier run than the late-summer lull that came before them.
Most of this week's figure comes from a single Chicago round, Go.AI's $85 million Series A, and Chicago accounts for half of the list overall. Two of the six are non-dilutive, a National Cancer Institute grant for Kovina Therapeutics in Indianapolis and a PitchMI award for Detroit's Common Vector Robotics, while the remaining two Chicago deals, for Rising Tide and Aligned Modern Health, came without a disclosed amount.
Here are the Midwest investments from across the great states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin that we've been able to track and verify this week, ending September 25th, 2026.
As always, every company and investor below can also be found in our startups and investors database.
