Chicago-based Trajektory closed an $8 million funding round to expand its sponsorship measurement platform, the company announced last week.

The round was supported by a syndicate of existing investors from Illinois and beyond including TechOperators, Mudita, Midwest Capital, Bridge, and WISE Ventures - the investment arm of the NFL's Minnesota Vikings

Trajektory's platform measures sponsorship performance across broadcast, streaming, social media, digital, and in-venue assets. The company says it currently tracks over $180 billion in annual sponsorship value and works with nearly half of major professional teams in North America across the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NWSL, and WNBA, plus more than two-thirds of the NHL.

"In a market where stability and reliable data are paramount, this funding is a validation to our deliberate, sustainable growth strategy," said Alex Kerr, founder and CEO of Trajektory, in the announcement. "With this investment, Trajektory is doubling down on what makes us unique: delivering unmatched, granular data and actionable insights that our partners can trust in their biggest decisions."

According to the company, the capital will fund three areas: engineering hires, expansion of its sales and customer success teams, and further development of its in-house AI capabilities, including data granularity improvements and additional AI-driven product functions.

The funding coincides with the recent hire of Calista Corley as Chief Sales Officer. Corley joins from market research firm Highlight, where she was Chief Revenue Officer..

"When evaluating the sports tech landscape, the choice to join Trajektory was incredibly clear," Corley said in a statement. "I was drawn to the strength of its foundational technology and a leadership team that consistently delivers on its promises."

Dave Gould of TechOperators, one of the participating investors, said the firm's continued backing reflects confidence in the company's trajectory. "Trajektory has continued to establish itself as the definitive currency grade standard in sponsorship analytics through consistent execution and a superior tech stack," Gould said in the statement.

The participation of WISE Ventures continues a pattern of NFL-affiliated investment vehicles backing sports companies including the recent partnership with TMRW Sports for a professional Flag Football League

Trajektory says its customers use the platform to report on nearly 100% of their sponsorship portfolios and save more than 1,200 hours annually on data preparation. The company did not disclose revenue figures, customer count, or headcount targets tied to the new funding.
